Meeting of Stourport-on-Severn Town Council

Mayor’s Parlour, Civic Centre, New Street, Stourport-on-Severn on Tuesday 4th June 2024

1.  To receive apologies for absence.

2. To confirm and sign the Minutes of the Council Meeting held on the 7th May 2024.  (Appendix 1)

3.  Declarations of Interest - to invite Members to declare any Disclosure Pecuniary Interests (DPIs) and/or Other Disclosable Interests (ODIs) in the following items on this Agenda.

4. Public Question Time

Members of the public will be invited to ask questions relating to this agenda or for consideration at future meetings of this committee.  Members of the public are allowed three minutes to speak on their subject.  There is no expectation of any dialogue or ad hoc discussion with the Town Council members at this time.

5. To receive such communications as the Mayor may desire to submit (a separate list of the Mayor’s engagements since the Council’s Meeting on the 7th May 2024 is appended).  (Appendix 2)

6.  To receive the Internal Auditor’s Report and assess the adequacy of internal audit arrangements.  (Appendix 3)

7.  Annual Governance Statement 2023/24.  To receive the annual Governance Statement 2023/24 which requires approval.  (Appendix 4)

8. Annual Accounts 2023/24.  To receive the Annual Accounts for 2023/24 which requires approval.  (Appendix 5)

9. To receive the Planning Committee minutes of 28th May 2024 and to approve authorisation for recommendations where applicable.  (Appendix 6)

10. To receive a verbal update from the Chairman of the Stourport Future Working Party. 

11. To receive updates from Councillor Representatives on Outside Bodies.

12. To receive an update from Councillor C Rogers on Safer Neighbourhood Watch.

13.  To receive an update from Councillors P Harrison and C Rogers (Stourport Worcestershire County Council Councillors).

14.  Accounts.

15.  Any other business in accordance with Standing Orders.

16.              EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

To consider passing the following resolution:

"That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of "exempt information" as defined in paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

17. To receive a verbal update from the Town Clerk on 8A Bridge Street, Stourport-on-Severn.

18. Any other business in accordance with Standing Orders.
