Armed Forces Flag Flying Ceremony Day

Armed Forces Flag Flying

The Armed Forces Flag Flying Ceremony Day is an annual opportunity for everyone to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from serving troops to service families and from veterans to cadets.

This year Stourport-on-Severn Town Council are organising Wyre Forest’s Flag Flying Ceremony in honour of our Armed Forces.  This is part of the nationally organised event where many other local authorities will raise the flag simultaneously at 10.30am.

This will be taking place on Monday 24th June 2024, outside of the Royal British Legion, Lichfield Street, Stourport-on-Severn.

At 10.15am Stourport-on-Severn’s Mayor will welcome those present, before prayers lead by Rev. Carey Saleh, with the flag being raised at 10.30am.

Among those invited to the event will be local dignitaries and members of the local armed forces associations.

Please note that parking will not be available at the Legion and we kindly ask those attending to use an alternative car park: Car parks in Stourport-on-Severn | Wyre Forest District Council (wyreforestdc.gov.uk)
