Riverside Meadows Paddling Pool

Prepare for new season, ensure contactors are in place, document reviewed, deep clean and repairs completed for agreed opening date.

 

Stourport Community Centre

Develop and maintain good working relations with current hirers of venue.

 

 

Promote the venue to attract local community groups to become regular hirers.

 

 

Continue with improvements to the fabric of the budling.  Sourcing grants to improve the facilities provided.

 

 

Localism

Be mindful of all costs, staffing capacity and implications that could be associated with future “areas”.

 

Regular reviews of outside spaces to ensure that a high standard is maintained in the services we provide.

 

 

The High Street and Town Centre

Be mindful of the potential of taking over an empty Town Centre property that would be suitable for conversion into a Tourist Information Centre and/or public toilets.

 

 

Develop and maintain new and established contacts within local business community.

 

 

“High Street Task Force”.

 

 

Attract Tourism to the Town; promotion of the High Street and Riverside Areas.

 

 

Investigate links with Heritage Port, Stourport Civic Society, WFDC and Stourport Forward.  Look at formats in which information can be shared with Tourists and Residents and at potential grant funding available.

 

 

Effective Communication with the Public

Agree and implement a Community Engagement Strategy.

 

Roll-out of new Town Council Website.

 

 

Build on Facebook social media platform.

 

 

As required arrange consultation meeting with local residents and business.

 

 

Build on engagement with the residents through annual events, including Three Kings Parade, Remembrance Sunday, Fun/Activity Days at Areley Kings Recreation Ground and the War Memorial Park.

 

 

Effective Communication with Wyre Forest District Council (WFDC)

Quarterly Meetings with WFDC arranged for:

May, August and November 2024, and February 2025.

 

Establish and maintain established contacts with WFDC.

 

 

District Councillors are able to provide updates at monthly Town Council Meetings.

 

 

Effective Communication with Worcestershire County Council (WCC)

County Councillors are able to provide updates at monthly Town Council Meetings.

 

 

Establish and develop contacts with WCC.

 

 

Effective Communication and working with Policing

Through Grant Funding invest in updated Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS), to capture more accurate readings, at pre-agreed locations.

 

 

Submit monthly VAS readings to local Police, and Highways Department at WCC.

 

Regular updates provided from local policing team at Town Council Meetings.
