78. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors N Martin, D Sheppard and J Thomas.

79. MINUTES

It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Council held on 9th November 2021 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Mayor.

80. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillor Little declared an Other Disclosable Interest in Agenda Item No. 7 – Minutes of the Planning Committee 30th November 2021, Minute Number 49 (l) - WF.21/0597/FUL, Chichester Caravans, Vale Road, Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 8YL as he had a close connection with the land owner.

81. PUBLIC QUESTION TIME    

There was no public speaking.

82. MOTIONS SUBMITTED UNDER STANDING ORDERS

No motions had been received in accordance with Section 6 of the Council’s Standing Orders.

83. MAYORS COMMUNICATIONS

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor’s engagements were circulated and noted.  The mayor announced that approximately £600 had been raised at his variety evening in November 2021.  He also thanked Councillor Griffiths for her £20 donation.

The collection at the Three Kings Parade had raised £462.81.  The Mayor thanked the Town Clerk, Admin Officer/Personal Assistant and all the volunteers for their help on a successful evening.

84.  PLANNING COMMITTEE MINUTES – 30TH November 2021

The Chairman of the Planning Committee informed Council of the planning application recommendations to be made to the District Council.  The minutes of the meeting held on 30th November 2021 were approved subject to the wording on minute number 49(l) to reflect Councillor Little came back into the meeting at 2.14pm).

85. UPDATE FROM COUNCILLOR B DAWES ON SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

Councillor Dawes advised Council of the following:

  • The Safer Neighbourhood Team had carried out a speeding trap on Areley Common and the results were awaited.
  • Drink/driving campaign was underway for the month of December.
  • Burglaries were continuing to be monitored.

86. Update from Councillors N Martin and J Thomas (Cabinet Members FOR Wyre Forest District Council) and Councillors p Harrison and C Rogers (Stourport County Council Councillor)

No report this meeting.

87. ACCOUNTS

The Town Clerk reported that Accounts for November totalling £23,784.29 had been paid since the last meeting and it was RESOLVED that the report be noted and approved.  A Schedule of the Accounts paid was appended at the end of these Minutes, in the Council’s Minute Book, and was available for general inspection. 

88. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

Decision: "Under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of "exempt information" as defined in paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

89. KINGSWAY ALLOTMENTS

The Town Clerk advised Council of an issue at Kingsway allotments and asked the Town Clerk to follow up with the appropriate action.

90. PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO WAITING RESTRICTIONS – LOCATIONS IN STOURPORT-ON-SEVERN

The Town Clerk notified Council that proposed amendments to waiting restrictions at a location in Stourport-on-Severn had been received.  After a discussion, Council RESOLVED to agree the proposed location.

The meeting closed at 6.44 PM
