Minutes of a meeting of the Planning Committee of Stourport-On-Severn Town Council held in the Mayor’s Parlour, at the Civic Centre, Stourport-On-Severn held at 2.00pm on Tuesday 25th August 2026

PRESENT:

Councillors: T Berry (Chairman), R Lloyd, D Morris, T Schmeising-Barnes.

Officers: Sue Saunders (Clerk), Sarah Harris (Assistant Clerk),

  1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

    Apologies for absence were received from Councillor M Freeman.

    Apologies for absence were received from Councillor I Schmeising-Barnes.  Councillor T Schmeising-Barnes was appointed as a substitute for Councillor I Schmeising-Barnes.

  2. MINUTES

    It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee Council held on 4th August 2026 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

  3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

    Councillor Lloyd declared an Other Disclosable Interest in Agenda Item No. 4 (Planning Application WF.26/0535/FUL). Councillor Lloyd advised that he had been previously employed by Kidderminster Harriers Football Club.

    Councillor Schmeising-Barnes declared an Other Disclosable Interest in Agenda Item No. 4 (Planning Applications WF.26/0535/FUL) as he belonged to the group ‘Friends of Burlish Meadows’ which had opposed the sale of land at Burlish Meadows.

  4. PLANNING APPLICATIONS REPORT

    Consideration was given to consultations by the District Council on the following applications for planning permission, and it was RESOLVED that the District Council be informed of the Town Council response to each consultation, as set out below:

  5. ARISING FROM CONSIDERATION OF THE APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING PERMISSION

    Noted.

  6. DECISIONS ON PAST PLANNING APPLICATIONS

    Members had been circulated with a list of the decisions of the District Council in respect of past planning applications and, it was RESOLVED that the list be noted.

  7. LIMITED WAITING BAY, ARELEY COMMON, STOURPORT-ON-SEVERN

    The proposal was discussed and Members noted their agreement.

  8. PLANNING APPEAL 

    Planning Application APP/TRN/R1845/9845 – Land adj. 7-8 New Street, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire DY13 8UL.
    Noted.
