Minutes of a meeting of the planning committee of Stourport-on-Severn Town Council held in the Mayor’s parlour, at the Civic Centre, Stourport-on-Severn

  1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

    Apologies for absence were received from Councillor D Morris. In the absence of Councillor D Morris, Councillor H Williams was appointed as a substitute.

  2. MINUTES

    It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee Council held on 10th June 2025 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

  3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

    Councillor Schmeising-Barnes declared an Other Disclosable Interest in Agenda Item No. 5 (Planning Applications WF.25/0450/LBC and WF.25/0467/FUL). The property listed on the applications was located near to a property where a family member resided.

  4. PLANNING APPLICATIONS REPORT

    Consideration was given to consultations by the District Council on the following applications for planning permission, and it was RESOLVED that the District Council be informed of the Town Council response to each consultation, as set out below:-

    1. 25/0450/LBC - Listed building consent for the installation of 1No. air conditioning unit: Mercian House at 16 York Street Stourport On Severn Worcestershire DY13 9EE.

      Recommend approval.

    2. 25/0467/FUL - Provision of external aircon unit to serve existing surgery: Mercian House at 16 York Street Stourport On Severn Worcestershire DY13 9EE.

      Recommend approval.

    3. 25/0410/S73 - Variation to condition (approved plans) attached to Planning Approval 22/0205/FUL at Areley Centre Abberley Avenue Stourport On Severn Worcestershire DY13 0LH.

      Recommend approval.

    4. 25/0455/HOU - Raising of roof height, loft conversion and rear dormer at 7 Meadow View Stourport On Severn Worcestershire DY13 0JS.

      Recommend approval.

    5. 25/0367/HOU - Proposed extension and alterations to dwelling at Ponderosa Broach Road Sandy Lane Industrial Estate Stourport On Severn Worcestershire DY13 9PE.

      Recommend approval.

    6. 25/0215/FUL - Change of use of shop storage area to 2No. apartments at 4 Bridge Street Stourport-on-Severn Worcestershire DY13 8XD.

      Deferred.

    7. 25/0404/ADV - 3no folded aluminium fascia signs with halo illuminated Co-op logos, internally illuminated projection sign, folded tray panel opening hours sign, 5no fence/wall mounted signs & 1no lockable poster holder at 5 - 6 Bridge Street Stourport On Severn Worcestershire DY13 8XD.

      Deferred.

    Members had been circulated with a list of the decisions of the District Council in respect of past planning applications and, it was RESOLVED that the list be noted.
