It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee Council held on 26th August 2025 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair, subject to the amendment of the list of Councillors present at the meeting which should be amended to show that Councillor John Thomas attended as an Observer. - DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Councillor Berry declared an Other Disclosable Interest in Agenda Item No. 4 (Planning Application WF.25/0615/PIP). Councillor Berry advised that the application had received an objection from a person with whom he was acquainted with. Consideration was given to consultations by the District Council on the following applications for planning permission, and it was RESOLVED that the District Council be informed of the Town Council response to each consultation, as set out below:

Recommend approval. - 25/0569/FUL - Change of use of ground floor from butcher’s shop (Use Class E) to hot food takeaway (SUI Generis) and associated works. The proposed works involve the refurbishment of the existing ground floor shopfront to enhance its appearance and contribute positively to the local streetscape. This includes careful repointing of the existing red brickwork to revive its condition and the application of a high-quality external wall paint in a soft mustard yellow to the lower section of the façade. The update will preserve the shopfront’s original proportions while introducing a fresh, modernised finish that remains respectful of the building’s character and surrounding context.In addition, the existing side elevation fire exit will be upgraded from an outdated sliding door to a new, fire rated pivot door. This replacement is intended to meet current fire safety standards while offering a more secure and durable solution in keeping with the updated look of the premises: 4 York Street, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, DY13 9EQ.
