Paddling pool update
In April 2025, Stourport-on-Severn Town Council regretfully informed residents that the Riverside Paddling Pool would not open this Summer. Complex repairs had been identified which required the attention of multiple specialist contractors.
We would like to let you know that the repair works are due to start during August 2025. Back in April, we said that our contractors availability meant that the repair works would not be completed before the end of the summer season, and unfortunately this is still correct.
It is still true that Stourport-on-Severn Town Council recognises the Riverside Paddling Pool as a valuable asset to our town. The current plan for the paddling pool is that it will re-open at the start of Summer 2026. We are however reliant on the weather; our contractors have advised that they will need clear dry weather to re-lay the pool’s surface.
Stourport-on-Severn Town Council would like to re-affirm our position: we recognise what an important asset the Riverside Paddling Pool is. We are working towards getting it open as soon as we possibly can, whilst ensuring that the paddling pool is a safe and well-loved attraction that is available for future generations of children.
